Musings of A Dumb Ass
Who knows what makes a nation or people great. Historically it appears greatness is rampant during and directly after the birth of a nation. One could wonder if greatness doesn't have a direct correlation with freedom. We've lost so much freedom in such a few generations that no one seems to notice oppression in its early stages, although it is clearly identifiable as we march on to what ever our destiny is to be.
Our logic and behaviour has always fascinated me. In fifty years we have become dependant on the government and no longer question much of anything. We accept rules made by those out of touch with what we need and maybe even reality itself without even grumbling about it. It will be interesting to watch as hard times start coming down on us as they surely will.
It is amazing to me that we have placed our health in the hands of those who are unanswerable to us and our future with those who display no responsibility towards sensibility. Our present is dictated by bureaucracy that has no direction or reason, and is oblivious to any governing authority that might rein it in.
We require no honesty and little truth from those who are in charge and seem to not wonder or worry about how we will survive as we are.
We've armed most of the world to the teeth and segregated the ones who didn't do as we wished all the while raping our treasury and lying to ourselves. We have no loyalty to things we should be loyal to. That's why American auto manufacturers are in the dump while the Japanese who spilled the guts of my grandfathers generation around the world are now number one in auto sales in this country. That's why the shelves of every durable goods store in the nation are filled with the wares of communist and third world countries even as we have advanced our thinking to believe that welfare in any form is now OK.
I don't have any solutions to this miserable mess simply because I'm a realist and I understand this situation is irretrievable. The idiot that thinks we can survive this is simply an idiot and not capable of primer math...................... $5.00 or more for a gallon of gas one year from today, and inflation so runaway that lies will no longer hide it......................
